Cumbrian Outbound can offer up to 28 day outdoor activity based placements for Young People in care. We are committed to providing creative child centred care packages for children and young people who are looked after and believe that every child has equal rights to the highest quality child care. We provide each young person with a safe, supportive, trusting environment with challenges that promote growth, responsibility, learning and positive outcomes.

Our innovative Crisis Intervention Service provides immediate and short term solutions for Local Authorities struggling to find accommodation for the most challenging and vulnerable young people. Our time limited service provides a much needed holiday/break/Bridging placement from current provision. Whether it is time out from their current placement, an emergency crisis intervention, or simply it is a little breathing space while the next move is considered, we are here to help.

 

24 hour support

 

Cumbrian Outbound provides high quality solo placements in rural based provisions across Cumbria. Each young person placed at Cumbrian Outbound will have a bespoke and individualised package put in place.

All young people are supported by a qualified and skilled staff team on a 2:1 staffing ration as a minimum, twenty-four hours a day. 

Cumbrian Outbound are able to accommodate the most challenging of young people. We will facilitate all meetings and contact arrangements where possible and keep in contact with all professionals linked to any young person placed on the service

Our service offers  valuable additional time and space to reflect on presenting behaviours and enable an effective transition to a longer-term placement. We will also support with transitions both in and out of our service.

Our experienced Referral Team are available at all times to provide an almost immediate decision on whether we can place someone for you.
